Merryfields School is able to offer a bespoke package of outreach support for pupils with Communication and Interaction difficulties who are currently in other school settings.
Outreach packages include support with key strategies; differentiated teaching; sensory integration; physical environment; communication and interaction over a 6-week block of in-school modelling and training, resourcing and signposting support.

Merryfields school has achieved Advanced Autism Accreditation for specialist providers in education, through the National Autistic Society. Support and reports are delivered by an outward facing inclusion support manager, with support for pupils regarding Communication and Interaction needs, drawing on input from the Merryfields School Autism Team who have accredited specialist knowledge in TEACCH and SPELL, alongside training in PECS, Triple A, Attention Autism, PROACT-SCIPr-UK® and Sleep practitioner training, with support and advice taken from Occupational Therapy
