Anti Bullying week is an annual event held in the UK. Merryfields School always celebrate this and this year we have some new ideas to support this important event in our calendar.
Our pupils will all be creating sock puppets during this week and we will encourage our pupils to use kind words, comments and opinions when speaking about each others creations. Some classrooms will perform a puppet show, to reinforce the message that kindness matters and we are all different. Our KS2 children will also work together to create a ‘reach out pledge’ to include things they would do to prevent bullying in school.
Pupils will also have the opportunity to write letters to our PHSE lead, to outline why they would make a good ‘anti-bullying ambassador’ for Merryfields school.
